Structural Spaces Series

It is difficult to imagine something anyone knows better than a residential area. But on closer look, it doesn’t look that familiar. Concrete boxes are no longer just parts of dull everyday landscape of a city dweller: they turn out to be just shells hiding how infinite and incognizable the world actually is. However, the protagonist of the painting is not the district, nor is it the man falling into the abyss. What matters more is the viewer’s perception of the infinity behind familiar images. (Onda about his work)

The work was exhibited at the exhibition “Mastering the Spaces” (2020), prepared by the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (Khodynka Gallery, Moscow City Galleries Network)
